On December 15, 2024, HYP Global entered into a significant partnership with Otis College of Art and Design (referred to as OTIS), a renowned American art institution. HYP Global will act as the recruitment partner for international students, responsible for the promotion and enrollment of undergraduate and master's degree programs.
Regarding this collaboration, senior executives from both parties conducted on-site visits in the United States and China. HYP Global's executives held multiple rounds of discussions with OTIS's Dean of Faculty, Vice President of Admissions, and Chief Financial Officer. In December 2024, the final background checks and compliance reviews were completed, leading to the signing of this cooperation agreement.
This marks the first time that Otis College of Art and Design has partnered with a commercial entity for global recruitment efforts, and it is also the first time HYP Global has collaborated with an art school. Both parties will invest significant resources to make this project a benchmark in international recruitment.
1. About OTIS
OTIS College of Art and Design, commonly known as OTIS, was founded in 1918 and is the first independent professional art college in Los Angeles. OTIS has long been recognized as one of the leading art institutions in California. From 1978 to 1991, it was affiliated with Parsons School of Design in New York. In 1991, it became an independent institution, known as Otis College of Art and Design. According to the authoritative art ranking by Art & Object in their recently published "2025 Ranking of American Art Universities," OTIS is ranked in the top 10 in the United States.
The small-scale OTIS "quietly acts as a design school," forming one of its key characteristics—absolute small-class teaching. It offers undergraduate and master's degree programs, with main majors including Fashion Design, Toy Design, Game Design, etc. Over 200 faculty members have practical experience working at renowned companies such as Disney and Mattel.
OTIS aims to cultivate students' adaptable and versatile abilities to cope with unknown career changes, rather than rigid knowledge. Graduates often possess a broad perspective. Alumni and faculty include recipients of Fulbright, MacArthur, and Guggenheim awards, Oscar winners, legendary fashion designers, leaders of contemporary art movements, entrepreneurs, and design stars from influential companies such as Apple, Pixar, DreamWorks, Mattel, Nike, and Netflix.
